Directions: Have children
draw pictures with scented markers or scented crayons. Encourage them
to exchange pictures and compare scents. encourage children to discuss the
"smells" of their markers or crayons.
Stop and Smell the Flowers

Need: Baking cups, markers, glue, paper,
cotton, cologne
Directions: Have your
children make flowers by coloring baking cups with markers and gluing
on construction paper stems and leaves? Spray cotton balls with
cologne or air freshener, and have the children glue a fragrant
cotton ball to the center of each "blossom." When the
flowers are dry, display them on the wall or a bulletin board and
invite visitors to "stop and smell the flowers."

Need: 5 spices, paper, glue
Directions:
You need 5 spices. Anything that has a strong texture and
smell. Draw on a sheet of paper the outline of a spice holder. Have children
smell the spices taste them and sprinkle them on to glue on the paper to make a spice rack.
